In 2008 Lloyd Presbyterian Church underwent a historic restoration. The church building is considered the second oldest African-American church building in Forsyth County as well as one of the few Carpenter Gothic Revival buildings. Countless groups and individuals assisted in raising money and interest in the restoration. See the articles below which partially chronicle Lloyd’s restoration story.

Advent Gift to Lloyd
Recently Lloyd Presbyterian was given a gift from National General Insurance (formerly Integon Insurance): a portrait of our historic sanctuary. The artwork was part of a collection depicting churches covered in snow. (See Winston-Salem Journal article.) Here are some pictures from the presentation event.
