Pastor Laura Spangler
The Reverend Laura M. Spangler was born in St. Petersburg, Florida and baptized at First Presbyterian Church of St. Petersburg. She is a graduate of Davidson College and Duke Divinity School. In 1985 she married Dr. Thomas Spangler, and in the same year, Laura was ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament.
She is the mother to four children: Michael (married to Melissa), Luke (married to Molly), Mark, and Elizabeth (engaged to Ian). Laura and her husband Tom have 2 grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Josiah. Laura has served in various pastoral positions in four churches. She has served as pastor at Lloyd Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem since 1997. Laura’s passions include preaching, teaching, serving and helping others know the love of Christ.
